Contract Components Ltd (CCL) has expanded into the millennium with the acquisition of Allvent of Stoke-on-Trent.

Announcing the purchase of this family owned business, Geoff Lee, joint managing director of CCL, explained that Allvent would find a perfect niche in the CCL network.

"Gay Mills started Allvent six years ago and has always been a regular CCL customer. Under her guidance the company has become the leading supplier of ventilation components in the Stoke area, offering an unrivalled service to ductwork contractors, maintenance departments and others.

Gay and her team, including her son Darren and Kevin Shaw, will be staying on helping us to build on this very sound base by expanding the product range with fans and other components."

National network
Allvent becomes the fourteenth branch in CCL's national network, offering modern warehouse facilities and a trade counter with comprehensive stocks of ductwork, fans, grilles and accessories so that most day to day requirements can be literally met "off the shelf". All branches are backed by CCL's main production plants in Manchester and Kent and the £3 million worth of stock held in the -network. Over half the branches also manufacture spiral ductwork for local customer requirements.

Gay Mills is in no doubt that working with CCL means a bright start to the new century.
