The company is now sole importer of this innovative product range direct from ABB in Finland.

Easy to fit and fast and effective in operation, CCL 'MFD' fire dampers are suitable for applications with a maximum air velocity through the damper of up to 15 m/s

Size Range
MFD fire dampers are available in a range of diameters from 100 to 500 mm. All models are suitable for installation in both vertical and horizontally mounted ductwork and can be externally tested by means of a resettable spring-loaded fuse, which is fitted as standard. Access doors are not necessary.

The MFD design has been tested for fire resistance to the requirements of BS 476 Part 20. The unit under test operated satisfactorily and retained its integrity for the 130 minutes duration of the test procedure.

CCL MFD fire dampers feature casings and damper blades manufactured from galvanised steel sheet. The casing incorporates a mounting flange, which makes it possible to fix the unit direct to the firewall, or to the optional installation sleeve where required. Integral joining collars for connection to ductwork are fitted with rubber sealing gaskets and dimensioned to conform with EUROVENT Duct Standard 2/3.

The blade is mounted on a shaft of corrosion proof steel, which projects externally to indicate the actual position of the blade.

The externally operated spring loaded fuse comprises two sections of brass pipe locked together by a fusible link. When the temperature exceeds the pre-set link temperature, the brass pipe joint melts causing the blade to close.

CCL's new MFD Fire Dampers are complemented by an electrically operated range. The company's XTPR - 17 models are available with electrically operated actuator and motors to form part of a remotely controlled fire safety system.
